Welcome to the conversation!

The Socratic Happy Hour is a gathering for postgraduate students in Oxford who are seeking civil and convivial conversations about life’s biggest questions. These conversations began in 2015 when a small circle of friends who disagree deeply about life, the universe, and everything discovered that talking with each other about our differences and our doubts, our questions and our convictions was a lot more interesting than talking about the weather. Despite our differences, we all agree that good company and conversation pairs best with good beer and wine.
